Description
The Assam region in India is known for its tea with a very specific aroma; strong and spicy with a light malty aroma. This tea can be drunk on its own but is also often combined with a splash of milk and a bit of sugar.
The Assam region is located about 200 kilometers east of Darjeeling, where the soil consists of fertile clay soil. Nevertheless, the tea is entirely different from that in the Darjeeling region. Because the climate here is much more extreme, the Camellia Sinensis Assamica is used.
This Assam tea is an FTGFOP1, which stands for Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, referring to the leaf.
