Description

Description

Delicious eucalyptus tea made from dried, chopped, and 100% pure eucalyptus leaves sourced from Spain. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) is an evergreen tree known for its fresh aromatic scent and medicinal properties. Originally from Australia, this popular tree now grows in many parts of the world. It has a gummy bark, long stems, and circular leaves that are hard to digest if eaten whole but are delightful for making tea.

Brewing instructions

Use 1 tablespoon (~3 grams) of eucalyptus leaves for one cup or 12 grams for one liter. Let it infuse for 10 minutes with boiling water at 100°C.

The maximum recommended amount is 3 cups per day.

Potential health benefits of eucalyptus tea

Eucalyptus tea also offers certain health benefits, from reducing discomfort to refreshing the breath. Eucalyptus is said to help with colds and relieve coughs. The leaves contain active compounds that are believed to have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral properties.

  • Eucalyptus leaves are an excellent source of antioxidants, especially flavonoids, which can help protect your body from oxidative stress and damage caused by free radicals.
  • Eucalyptus contains a compound called eucalyptol, known to reduce nasal congestion, cough frequency, and headaches related to colds. It may also improve asthma symptoms, although more research is needed.

You can drink eucalyptus tea, but avoid eucalyptus oil, as it can be harmful even in small amounts!
