One of the most beloved oolongs from that region is the Ruan Zhi, better known as \u201cSoft Stem\u201d or cultivar No. 17. The cultivar was developed by the TRES (Tea Research and Extension Station) in Taiwan. Taiwan employs one of the most scientifically advanced methods for growing tea and perfecting cultivars, so neighboring countries are only too happy to draw on their impressive expertise.<\/p>\n
