The tree has beautiful pink flowers and, exceptionally, yellow ones too. For centuries, this tree has been revered by indigenous peoples for its unique properties. The bark is carefully harvested in a way that does not harm the tree, allowing it to continue growing \u2013 a sustainable choice.<\/p>\n<p>The taste of Lapacho tea is mild, smooth and slightly sweet, with an earthy undertone. For the seasoned tea drinker, it is somewhat reminiscent of a Pu-ehr. Lapacho naturally contains no caffeine, making it ideal for drinking at any time of the day \u2013 even in the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Lapacho tea has been used for generations by the indigenous people of the Andes. In traditional herbal medicine, it is valued for its high concentration of antioxidants, minerals and traces of iron, calcium and magnesium. Scientific research into Lapacho is still too limited to make any statements about its possible health benefits, but the concentration of flavonoids and quercetin certainly speaks in its favour.<\/p>\n<p>For best results, steep one tablespoon of Lapacho tea in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your preference.
